Children of Siberia: Comparative analysis of traditional way of children every-day life among selected mobile societies

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme popisu a komparační analýze tradičního způsobu života dítěte od narození až po dosažení dospělosti u vybraných mobilních společností Sibiře – Něnců, Evenků a Čukčů, se zvláštním zaměřením na tradiční výchovu a společenskou roli dítěte. Na základě práce s českou a zahraniční odbornou literaturou a dostupnými etnologickými sbírkami si bakalářská práce klade za cíl zmapovat tradiční průběh těhotenství, porodu a narození dítěte, dětství, dospívání, dospělosti a manželství Něnců, Evenků a Čukčů. Práce se také zabývá obecným popisem mobilních společností a krajiny Sibiře. Výsledným výstupem práce je komparační analýza, která prokazuje určité shodnosti v tradičním způsobu života a výchovy dítěte u vybraných mobilních společností.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with description and comparative analysis of the traditional way of child’s life from its birth to coming of age in several selected mobile societies of Siberia – the Nenets, the Evenks and the Chukchi. The emphasis is put on the traditional upbringing and the social status of a child. Being based on Czech as well as foreign literature and accessible ethnological anthologies the thesis aims at mapping the traditional course of pregnancy, childbirth, childhood, maturing, adulthood and marriage of the Nenets, the Evenks and the Chukchi. The thesis also provides a general description of mobile societies and the area of Siberia. The final result of the thesis is a comparative analysis showing certain similarities in the traditional ways of life and child’s upbringing in the selected mobile societies.
