Controlling with the MIS support and practical applications

Abstract:

Tato práce se věnuje manažerským informačním systémům (MIS) jako nástrojům sloužícím pro podporu controllingu a plánování. Detailně se zabývá jejich implementací a je doplněna praktickou ukázkou. V mé praxi jsem se setkal s problémy při zavádění takového systému do podniku. Domnívám se, že firmy podceňují výběr, přípravu implementace i vlastní implementaci systémů. Mým cílem je získat relevantní informace tak, aby bylo možné se těmto chybám vyhnout. Zároveň sleduji praktický přínos v tom, že závěry mé práce mohou být využity organizacemi, které chtějí MIS implementovat anebo jej již využívají k řízení své činnosti. První polovina teoretické části diplomové práce je obecně věnována controllingu, jeho koncepcím a cílům. Druhá polovina charakterizuje a přibližuje nástroje Business Intelligence, které se využívají nebo dají využít pro podporu řízení podniku. V praktické části se zaměřuji na specifika výběru MIS získaných z aplikačně orientovaných znalostí. Cílem druhé a třetí kapitoly je představení možného postupu implementace MIS a analýza pilotního manažerského portálu podniku, kde navrhuji jeho další možný vývoj.

Abstract:

This thesis turns to management information system (MIS) as a tool provided for support of controlling and planning. In details it deals with their implementation and it is completed by practical demonstration. In my experience, I have met the problems with introduction of such a system to the company. I assume that companies underestimate the choice, adjustment of implementation even proper implementation of the systems. My aim is to gain relevant information so it will be possible to avoid these mistakes. At the same time I monitor practical contribution at that point in which my work can be used by organization which would like to implement MIS or which already use them for taking control of the activity. First half of theoretic part of the graduation theses is generally devoted to controlling, its conceptions and goals. Second part distinguishes and creeps up tools of Business Intelligence, which are used or can be used for operating management support. In the applied part I aim at specifics of selections MIS extract form application oriented knowledge. Objectives for the second and third chapter are introduction of possible procedure for implementation MIS and analyse of a pilot managerial portal, where I suggest its additional possible progress.
