Mystery as an element of support for inquiry-based teaching in chemistry

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce se zaměřuje na charakteristiku badatelsky orientovaného vyučování a vymezení pojmu "záhada" jako prvku podpory pro badatelsky orientované vyučování v chemii. Jádrem práce je soubor badatelských úloh obsahujících prvek "záhady". Úlohy jsou zpracovány do podoby metodických a pracovních listů, vždy o čtyřech úrovních bádání. Všechny experimenty, které jsou součástí úloh, byly prakticky ověřeny v laboratoři. Vybrané úlohy byly podrobeny pilotnímu ověřování žáky. Poznatky získané ověřováním úloh posloužily k vylepšení navržených úloh a podnítily vytvoření doplňujícího instruktážního manuálu k úlohám.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis focuses on the characteristics of inquiry-based teaching and the definition of the term "mystery" as an element of support for inquiry-based teaching in chemistry. The core of the thesis is a set of inquiry tasks containing the element of "mystery". The tasks are processed in the form of methodical sheets and worksheets, each with four inquiry levels. All experiments that are part of the tasks were practically verified in the laboratory. Selected tasks were subjected to pilot verification by students. The knowledge gained from the verification of tasks served to improve the designed tasks and encouraged the creation of a supplementary instruction manual for the tasks.
