Telematics: expanding the assortment of an insurance company by a vehicle monitoring system

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje způsobu, jak optimálně implementovat monitoring vozidel včetně návazných a doplňkových funkcí do nabídky služeb pojišťovny. Práce se zaobírá telematikou jako novým oborem informačních technologií, který se zabývá přenosem digitalizovaných informací na velké vzdálenosti. Cílem je vytvoření uceleného dokumentu, který může sloužit jako manuál pro projekty, které mají za cíl implementaci telematických systémů v pojišťovnách v prostředí České republiky. Zamýšleným přínosem bakalářské práce je poskytnout členům projektového týmu (zejména projektovým manažerům) znalosti nezbytné pro výkon jejich práce. V práci jsou definovány informace klíčové pro implementaci systému v pojišťovně, při zpracování práce vycházím z dokumentace konkrétní pojišťovny působící na českém trhu a praktických zkušeností s telematickým systémem.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the methods of an optimal implementation of vehicle monitoring, including linking and additional functions into the insurance company service menu. This thesis looks at Telematics as a new field of information technologies, which deals with the transmission of digitalized information over a great distance. Goal is to create a comprehensive document that can serve as a manual for project, which deals with the implementation of the telematic systems, included within the structure of insurance companies of the Czech Republic. This bachelor thesis intends to bring an essential work knowledge to the members of the project team (namely the project managers). This work includes the definition of the key information necessary for the implementation of the system into the structure of an insurance company. Documentation of a concrete insurance company that operates on the czech market and practical experience with a telematic system is used during the creation of this work.
