Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výslovností angličtiny u japonsky mluvících lidí a snaží se navrhnout nástroje na úpravu japonské výslovnosti angličtiny. Byl vytvořený dotazník, aby zmapoval specifické potřeby japonských studentů a navrhnul nejlepší metodu na zlepšení jejich anglické výslovnosti. Teoretická část okrajově popisuje japonská samohlásky a souhlásky sa zaměřuje sa na možné příčiny zlé výslovnosti. Práce sa také zabývá intonací, důrazem a rytmem a možnými zdroji nesprávné výslovnosti. Praktická část práce je založená hlavně na výsledcích dotazníku a pokouší se navrhnout efektivní způsoby a metody na naučení anglické výslovnosti. Výsledky dotazníku jsou prezentovány na ukázku, jaké studijní metody nejčastěji využívají. Výsledky dotazníky byli bráni v úvahu a byl navrhnut seznam videí z YouTube, které se zabývají výslovností angličtiny, jako ta nejefektivnější způsob zlepšení výslovnosti u japonských mluvčích nakolik toto metoda jasně zahrnuje potřeby a požadavky respondentů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with pronunciation of Japanese speakers of English and attempts to suggest tools for correcting Japanese pronunciation of English. A questionnaire was designed to map specific needs of Japanese students to suggest the best method possible for improving their English pronunciation. Theoretical part briefly describes vowels and consonants of Japanese and focuses on possible causes of mispronunciation. The thesis also takes into consideration intonation, stress and rhythm and possible sources of mispronunciation. The practical part of this thesis is solely based on the results of the questionnaire and attempts to suggest effective ways and methods of learning English pronunciation. The results of the questionnaire are presented to show what kind of study methods students use the most. Taking into consideration the results of the questionnaire, list of YouTube videos which are concerned with English pronunciation is suggested as the most effective tool for improving pronunciation of Japanese speakers since this is the method which satisfies the needs and demands of the respondents the most.
