Lov-level numerical calculations

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme jedné ze základních úloh numerické matematiky, kterou je řešení nelineárních rovnic. V prvních kapitolách jsou stručně popsány potřebné teoretické pojmy spolu s vysvětlením základních numerických nástrojů. Dále práce nastiňuje principy aplikace některých obecných numerických metod. Cílem této práce je vyzkoušet vybrané numerické triky a metody používané v praxi, což spočívá ve vysvětlení principu, testu naprogramované funkce v softwaru Matlab a následné analýzy výsledků.

Abstract:

This bachelor study deals with one of the basic numerical problems that is solving non-linear equations. In introductory chapters necessary theoretical terms are described, together with explanation of basic numerical tools. In addition, this thesis presents principles of functioning of a few general numerical methods. The main aim of this study is to try out a couple chosen numerical tricks and methods, which are practically used in applications or computing systems. In order to fulfill this aim, this thesis contains brief explanation, test of the programmed function via software Matlab and finally analysis of the result of these numerical tricks and methods.
