Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá problémom presnej predpovede počasia na najbližšie hodiny, tzv. nowcasting. Tento problém je riešený obvykle extrapoláciou hydrometeorologických radarových snímok, ktoré zachycujú prúdenie a vývoj zrážok.
