Antimicrobial effect of environmental coatings in dependence of their ageing process

Abstract:

Diplomová práce byla uskutečněna ve spolupráci s výzkumným ústavem Synpo a. s. Difuzní metodou byly testovány antimikrobiální účinky nátěrových hmot s biocidními přísadami. Byl sledován vliv stárnutí nátěrů, po přípravě nátěru a následně po 6 a 12 měsících jeho skladování.Celkem bylo testováno 82 vzorků. Testovacími mikroorganismy byly bakterie Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa a plísně Aspergillus niger a Penicillium chrysogenum. Testovaná nátěrová hmota ponechaná vlivu stárnutí byla obohacena o různé koncentrace oxidu zinečnatého a nátěry, u nichž byl sledován pouze inhibiční účinek, obsahovaly jiné formy oxidu zinečnatého.Nejlepší inhibiční účinky při sledování stárnutí nátěrů po 6 a 12 měsících skladování vykazovaly omyvatelné nátěrové hmoty na bázi Acronalu DS 6262, jejichž inhibiční složkou byl oxid zinečnatý o koncentraci 7,9 %. Při sledování inhibičních účinků vzorků s biocidními přísadami bez vystavení vlivu stárnutí vykazovaly také největší inhibici omyvatelné nátěrové hmoty na bázi Acronalu DS 6262, které obsahovaly 15,2 % oxidu zinečnatého ve formě nanočástic. Nejvíce byl inhibován Staphylococcus aureus a nejméně Penicillium chrysogenum.

Abstract:

This thesis was created with the cooperation of research institute Synpo a.s. Diffusion method were tested for antimicrobial activity of biocidal coating additives. The monitoring aging of coating, the coating preparation and after 6 and 12 months of storage. A total of 82 samples tested. Test organisms were bacterium Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa,and mold Aspergillus niger and Penicillium chrysogenum. The tested coating retained influence of aging was enriched with various concentrations of oxide zinc and coatings, which were observed only an inhibitory effect, include other forms of oxide zinc. The best inhibitory effects of aging in monitoring the paint at 6 and 12 months of storage embody a washable paints based Acronal DS 6262, the inhibitory component was oxide zinc concentration of 7.9 %. In monitoring the inhibitory effects of biocidal additives samples without exposure to aging showed the greatest inhibition of washable coatings based Acronal DS 6262, which contained 15.2% oxide zinc in the form of nanoparticles. Most were inhibited by Staphylococcus aureus and Penicillium chrysogenum least.
