Abstract:

Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je analýza, návrh a implementácia dátového reportingu pre CERIT-SC, člena národnej výzkumnej infraštruktúry e-INFRA CZ. Ako prvé sa venuje predstaveniu týchto výzkumných infraštruktúr, ako aj prehľadu požiadaviek na reporting a dátovú interpretáciu. Rôzne dátové zdroje, ako sú verejné citačné databázy a interné zdroje e-INFRA CZ využité pri našom zbere dát, sú podrobne predstavené, vrátane popisu možnosti ich automatizácie a typu informácií, ktoré poskytujú. Následne sú ukázané ETL procesy použité na automatizáciu získavania dát, ako aj ukladanie, čistenie a transformáciu dát, spolu s popisom použitých technológií (Power Automate, Microsoft Azure, Power BI). Nakoniec skúmame možnosti interpretácie a vizualizácie dát, s ohľadom na využívanie infraštruktúrnych zdrojov, dodržiavanie povinností výskumníkov, úrovňou účasti vo využívaní infraštruktúry organizáciami aj výskumníkmi, a nakoniec na virtuálne tímy tvorené spoluatormi publikácií. Dáta a výzkum sa rozsahovo ďalej rožširujú, s cieľom vylepšiť dátový reporting v rámci CERIT-SC.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is the analysis, design, and implementation of data reporting for CERIT-SC, a member of the national research infrastructure e-INFRA CZ. An introduction of the research infrastructures is presented, followed by an overview of reporting requirements and desired data interpretation results. Various data sources, such as public citation databases and internal e-INFRA CZ databases utilized in our data collection are described in detail, highlighting the automation options and type of information returned. We outline the ETL processes used to automate the data retrieval where possible, discussing the steps involved in data loading, cleaning, and transformation to harmonize the data, along with a description of technologies used, such as Power Automate, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI. Finally, we explore the interpretation and visualization of the data in terms of infrastructure resource utilization, reporting compliance, and the level of participation in the context of both organizations and researchers, as well as virtual research groups. The research is ongoing and aims to improve data reporting within the CERIT-SC organization.
