Understanding User in Product Design as the Core of the UX Experience

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Porozumění uživateli v oblasti designu je jádrem dobré komunikace mezi samotným uživatelem a designem. Tato práce si klade za cíl podrobně prozkoumat chování uživatele s důrazem na koncepci User Centered Design a stanovit míru důležitosti tohoto přístupu pro oblast designu. Zároveň získané informace budou sloužit k následnému navržení samotného uživatelského rozhraní. Hlavní výzkumnou metodou použitou v této práci je rešerše odborných zdrojů. Mezi hlavní kapitoly v práci patří, Co je design, Kdo je designér, Vznik a vývoj designu, Uživatel, UX design, UI design, Principy vizuálního designu a Fáze tvorby a Budoucnost. Cíl, který byl pro tuto práci stanoven byl dosažen. Míra důležitosti týkající se hloubky porozumění uživatele v oblasti designu byla v práci stanovena jako velmi vysoká. Bylo ukázáno, že je nezbytné, aby návrhář, který dokáže vytvořit nadčasové designy dobře rozuměl lidskému chování. Práce tedy doporučuje prioritizovat důležitost porozumění lidskému chování v této oblasti, jelikož je to nedílná součást děl designu.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT Understanding the user in the design domain is at the heart of good communication between the user and the design. This thesis aims to explore user behaviour in detail, with an emphasis on the concept of User Centered Design, and to determine the degree of relevance of this approach to the design domain. At the same time, the information gathered will be used to subsequently design the user interface itself. The main research method used in this thesis is a literature search. The main chapters in this thesis include, What is design, Who is a designer, The origin and evolution of design, The user, UX design, UI design, Principles of visual design and The design phase and The future. The goal that was set for this thesis has been achieved. The level of importance regarding the depth of user understanding of design was determined to be very high in this thesis. It was shown that it is essential for a designer who can create timeless designs to have a good understanding of human behaviour. Thus, the thesis recommends prioritising the importance of understanding human behaviour in this area as it is an integral part of the works of design.
