Autorka sa v bakalárskej práci zaoberá odpadom ako vedľajším produktom materiálnych procesov ľudskej spoločnosti, ako i prístupmi, ktoré k nemu zaujíma odbor nazývaný garbológia. Snaží sa poukázať, ako problematika odpadu súvisí so súčasnou modernou spoločnosťou, a aké možnosti a výzvy predstavuje jej štúdium pre antropológiu.
