The Integration of Child with Autism in a Primary School

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá integrací dítěte s autismem do běžné základní školy. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části teoretickou a praktickou. V první části se práce věnuje stručným dějinám autismu a popisuje současné pojetí klasifikačního rozdělení poruch autistického spektra. Dále je v práci popsáno diagnostické rozdělení jednotlivých poruch autistického spektra podle diagnostického systému MKN-10, triáda problémových oblastí, kterou děti s autismem trpí, a v neposlední řadě se práce zabývá právě vzděláváním těchto dětí. Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit, jak probíhá integrace dítěte s autismem do běžné základní školy. Pro sběr těchto informací bylo využito kvalitativního výzkumného šetření. Dotazovanými osobami byly třídní učitelka, pedagogická asistentka, matka chlapce a osobní asistentka. Zároveň proběhlo zúčastněné pozorování ve třídě na základní škole.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the integration of an autistic child into a regular primary school. The text is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part examines the brief history of autism and describes the contemporary concept of autistic spectrum disorders classification. Further on, a description of diagnostic classification of individual autistic spectrum disorders according to MKN-10 diagnostic system is provided, followed by the description of triad problem areas from which the autistic children suffer, and last but not least with the description of educating these children. The aim of the practical part is to investigate the features of the integration process of autistic child into a regular primary school. These information were gathered by the qualitative research investigation. The respondents were the class teacher of the boy, his pedagogical assistant, his mother and personal assistant. A participant observation in his primary school class was also conducted.
