Abstract:

Obsah předkládané diplomové práce pojednává o dítěti s diabetem mellitus v mateřské škole, neboť počet dětí s touto diagnózou v předškolním věku v současně době rapidně stoupá. V teoretické části je popsáno vše od významu diabetu, typu diabetu a komplikací s ním spojených přes možnosti léčby až po vzdělávání dítěte s diabetem mellitus, jeho potřeb a možných komplikací s tím spojených, s nimiž se musí samotné dítě i pedagog každý den vypořádat. Obsah empirické části je následně zaměřen na zjištění, jak jsou mateřské školy připraveny na přijetí a následné vzdělávání dětí s touto diagnózou, jaké jsou postoje ředitelů mateřských škol a zda jsou pedagogové schopni zajistit jeho specifické potřeby. Tyto skutečnosti byly zjišťovány pomocí rozhovorů s řediteli mateřských škol, na které pak navazovalo dotazníkové šetření s jednotlivými pedagogy. Výsledky našeho zjištění by měly posloužit k zefektivnění inkluzivního vzdělávání a jako námět pro možnost dalšího vzdělávání pedagogických pracovníků v této problematice.

Abstract:

The content of this thesis talks about a child with diabetes mellitus in kindergarten. The reason for choosing this topic is that the number of children around this age with this diagnosis is increasing rapidly. The theoretical part contains all information about diabetes, such as; the basic description of the illness, its types, complications, and the treatment options patients have. It also focuses on the education process of a child with this disease; his specific needs, and issues the child and his teachers face daily. The empirical part is focused on finding out if kindergartens are prepared for the admission and the subsequent education of a child with this diagnosis. More specifically: the attitudes of kindergarten principals or whether the teachers are able to meet the specific needs of the child. These facts were ascertained by means of interviews with the principals of kindergartens, which were then followed by a survey with individual teachers. Our findings should help make inclusive education more effective, and they should serve as an inspiration for the possible further education of teachers in this area.
