Analysis of the influence of air freight transport on the Czech economy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu letecké nákladní dopravy na české hospodářství. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní principy tohoto odvětví a na základě rešerše světové literatury je hodnocena jeho pozice v tržním hospodářství. V úvodu praktické části se analyzuje situace na českých letištích, především výkon nákladní dopravy a konkurenční prostředí. Největší část praktické části je věnována vlivu letecké nákladní dopravy na mezinárodní obchod České republiky, kde je analyzován vliv na čistý export, a jsou odhaleni nejvýznamnější obchodní partneři v letecké nákladní dopravě pro Českou republiku. Součástí analýzy je i srovnání České republiky se sousedními státy v rámci tohoto odvětví, kde je důraz kladen na komparativní výhody v letecké nákladní dopravě. V následující části je toto odvětví srovnáváno s ostatními druhy nákladní dopravy v České republice.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the influence of air freight transport on the Czech economy. General basics of the air freight industry are explained in the beginning of the theoretical part, followed by the explanation of its position in the market economy based on the world wide literature review. The performance of air freight transport at Czech airports is analysed at the beginning of the practical part, with main focus on the actual volume of air freight and the level of competitive environment. The largest part of the practical part is devoted to the influence of air freight transport on the international trade of the Czech Republic, where the influence of net exports and the most important trading partners in air freight transport for the Czech Republic are analysed. The analysis also includes a comparison of the Czech Republic with neighbouring countries within this sector, where emphasis is placed on comparative advantages in air freight transport. In the following part, this sector is compared with other types of freight transport in the Czech Republic.
