Education of woman before and after radical hysterectomy

Abstract:

Cíl: Hlavní cílem této bakalářské práce bylo navrhnout a zrealizovat edukační proces u žen s nádorovým onemocněním dělohy podstupující radikální hysterektomii. Dílčím cílem bylo vytvoření edukačních brožur, které budou sloužit jako edukační materiál pro ženy podstupující tuto léčbu. Metodika: Byla použita metoda edukačního procesu. Edukace se zúčastnilo celkem 5 žen, které byly edukovány o předoperační přípravě, pooperačním péči a domácí pooperační péči. Vstupní posouzení proběhlo pomocí zdravotnické dokumentace, anamnézy a rozhovoru s pacientkami/klientkami. Edukace probíhala ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava na gynekologickém oddělení. Ženy byly edukovány před operací a před propuštěním do domácí péče. Výsledky: Pomocí rozhovorů byly zjištěny deficitní znalosti v průběhu předoperační přípravy a pooperační péči. Na jejich základě byly stanoveny edukační diagnózy a sestaven edukační plán, který byl následně zrealizován. Při vyhodnocení efektivity edukačního procesu bylo zjištěno zvýšení vědomostí v daných oblastech. Závěr: Edukace je účinnou formou vzdělávání pacientů, kteří nemají dostatečné znalosti v daných oblastech tak, aby sami mohli o své zdraví pečovat. Dodatečné množství informací v dané problematice může napomoci v prevenci pooperačních komplikací a lepší spolupráce mezi pacientkami/klientkami a zdravotnickým personálem.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to make and implement the educational process at women with uterine cancer undergoing the radical hysterectomy. The partial aim was to create educational prospects, which will serve as an educational material for women undergoing this treatment. Women were educated before the operation and before they were discharged from the hospital. Methodology: The method of an educational process was used. Five women attended the educational program. The women were educated in preoperative preparation, postoperative care and postoperative home care. The entrance review was realized by using the medical documentation, case history and interviews with the patients/clients. The education took place at the University Hospital Ostrava at the gynecologist department. Results: We found deficient knowledge about preoperative preparation and postoperative care while interweaving the clients. Based on the interviews we established the educational diagnosis, designed the educational plan and implemented it. We found positive results and increase of knowledge in these topics when evaluating this educational process, therefore we removed the educational diagnosis. Conclusion: Education of patients who do not have adequate knowledge so they could take care of their health is an effective form of development of information. A sufficient quantity of information on the topic can help in prevention, postoperative complication and better cooperation between patients/clients and the medical stuff.
