Hypotonic form of cerebral palsy in childhood - casuistic study

Abstract:

V teoretické části své bakalářské práci se věnuji příčinám vzniku, formám, výskytu, diagnostice, příznakům a léčbě dětské mozkové obrny. Toto onemocnění je perzistující, neprogresivní, neexistuje proti němu žádná kauzální léčba. Onemocnění lze však vhodně ovlivňovat rehabilitační terapií. Existují dokonce dva rehabilitační koncepty, které byly sestaveny přímo pro léčbu DMO, jedná se o Vojtovu reflexní lokomoci a Bobath koncept. Kromě těchto metod lze rehabilitační léčbu vhodně doplnit ostatními rehabilitačními metodami a léčbou sekundárních postižení jako je epilepsie, nebo ortopedické komplikace, které jsou u tohoto onemocnění časté. V praktické části je zpracována kazuistika šestiletého chlapce s hypotonickou formou DMO, která obsahuje postup a použité metody téměř roční terapie tohoto chlapce.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of my final bachelor´s thesis speaks about the causes of appearance, forms, diagnostics, symtoms and the treatment of the childish celebral palsy (CP). This disease is non?progressive but persistent. There doesn´t exist any causal treatment of it, but it can be effectively influenced by physiotherapeutic methods. There are two known conceptions, which were established for the treatment of the CP, Vojta´s Method of Reflex Locomotion and Bobath Concept. These methods may be inplemented by another rehabilitation means and the treatment of the secondary afflictions as are the epilepsy and the orthopedical complications, which acompany the CP fequently. The practical part of the thesis is the case report of the six-year-old boy stricken with the hypotonic form of the CP. The report icludes the description of the procedure and the methods applied during almost one-year-long therapy of the boy
