Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Ženy v managementu“ je identifikace příčin nedostatku žen v managementu konkrétní firmy a formulace vhodných doporučení, která povedou ke zlepšení situace a získání více žen do řad managementu. Teoretická část je věnována vysvětlení základních pojmů klíčových pro pochopení problematiky, představení bariér, se kterými se ženy typicky v kariérním postupu setkávají a strategie podniků, jak do svých řad získat kompetentní ženy. Praktická část se zaměřuje na konkrétní podnik, který se potýká s nedostatkem žen v managementu. Jsou stanoveny výzkumné otázky, k jejichž zodpovězení napomohou odpovědi z rozhovorů se ženami, které již v managementu jsou, nebo jsou na cestě za kariérním postupem. Na základě interpretace výsledků budou formulována vhodná doporučení pro tento podnik.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis “Women in Management” is to identify causes of a lack of women in management of specific company and formulation of appropriate recommendations which will lead to improvement of the current situation and to acquirement of more women into management positions. Theoretical part is devoted to explanations of primary concepts crucial for understanding the problematics, introduction of barriers that women face when striving for career advancement and strategies of companies on how to get more competent women in management. Practical part is focused on specific company that face lack of women in management. At the beginning were stated research questions. To answer them, I will conduct interviews with women who are already in management positions or are on the way to their career advancement. Based on interpretation of results, appropriate recommendations will be formulated for the company.
