Tourism Potential of the Coimbra Region

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení potenciálu cestovního ruchu v regionu Coimbra sezdůrazněním kulturně historických stop a problematiky udržitelného cestovního ruchu.Práce seznamuje čtenáře s charakteristikou regionu a snaží se zachytit poznatky z oblastihistorie, geografie i kultury. V další části práce je analyzován potenciál cestovního ruchu jakpo stránce přírodní, tak po stránce kulturní, na níž je v práci kladen důraz. Poté následujesekce udržitelnosti rozvoje cestovního ruchu v destinaci , ve které je řešena problematikadopadů cestovního ruchu na přírodní a socio-kulturní prostředí. Následně je v prácivyhodnoceno dotazníkové šetření, na jehož základě je vytvořeno grafické vyobrazenívýsledků. Závěrem práce je zhodnocen současný stav cestovního ruchu v regionu Coimbra ajsou navržena doporučení pro klienty, průvodce i cestovní kanceláře.

Abstract:

The Aim of this bachelor paper is to evaluate the potential of tourism in the region of Coimbrawith an emphasis on cultural and historical traces and issues of sustainable tourism.This paper makes readers familiar with the characteristics of the region, which is an attempt todiscover its history, geography and culture. In the next part of the paper the potential oftourism is analyzed both from the natural and the cultural point of view. This is followed by asection of sustainable development of tourism in the destination, in which the issue of tourismimpact on natural and socio-cultural environment is solved. The work subsequently evaluatesa questionnaire survey on the basis of which graphical illustrations of results were created.Finally, the current state of tourism in the region of Coimbra is evaluated andrecommendations for clients, guides and travel agencies are proposed.
