Creating Teaching Aids for Economic Education at Elementary Schools

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce je vytvořit vhodnou učební pomůcku pro ekonomické vzdělávání na základních školách a následně tuto pomůcku aplikovat v praxi na konkrétní základní škole. Diplomová práce je složena z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje především na ekonomické vzdělávání na základních školách, na výuku finanční gramotnosti a její zařazení v kurikulárních dokumentech, ale také na didaktické prostředky, jež je možné ve výuce využít. V praktické části budeme analyzovat počáteční znalosti žáků před použitím učební pomůcky a následně zkoumat její přínos ve výuce předmětu občanská výchova. Získaná data budeme poté interpretovat v podobě grafů a zhodnotíme celkový přínos pomůcky pro výuku jak z obsahového hlediska, tak i po metodické stránce.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a suitable teaching aid for economic education at elementary schools and then apply this aids in practice at a particular elementary school. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, the thesis is focused not only on the economic education at elementary schools, on teaching the financial literacy and its inclusion into curricular documents, but also on didactic means that can be used while teaching. In the research part we will analyze the initial knowledge of the pupils before using the teaching aid. Then we will examine the contribution of the teaching aid while teaching the civics and examine the pupils´ knowledge after the lesson. Finally we will interpret the acquired data with the help of graphs and charts. Based on the critical feedback of results we will evaluate both from the content as well as the methodical point of view.
