The current status of insurance intermediaries on the Czech insurance market

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje postavení pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů na pojistném trhu. Práce je dělena do sedmi kapitol. Úvod objasňuje autorovu motivaci a důvody k výběru tohoto tématu a způsob jeho zpracování. Druhá kapitola se věnuje vývoji právní úpravy a vývoje pojištění a zprostředkování pojištění v Čechách od roku 1699 do současnosti. Současné právní úpravě, definici a funkci pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů se, společně s popisem jednotlivých kategorií pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů, věnuje kapitola třetí. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá regulaci a některým požadavkům, které legislativa na pojišťovací zprostředkovatele klade, přičemž tyto požadavky jsou podrobovány kritice a zkoumání účelnosti a přínosnosti pro celý systém. V dalších dvou kapitolách rozděluji jednotlivé typy zprostředkovatelských struktur a typů zprostředkovatelských společností, popisuji jejich specifika, a pokouším se rozebrat výhody a nevýhody pro různé subjekty. Nejvýznamnější část práce je tvořena kapitolou sedmou, která se věnuje některým problémům spojeným s trhem pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů a jejich činnosti. V závěru pak rekapituluji a myšlenkově uzavírám celou práci a nabízím způsoby řešení některých problematických témat, která tato práce zkoumá.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the role of insurance brokers in the insurance market. The work is divided into seven chapters. The introduction clarifies the author's motivation and reasons for selecting this topic and how it is processed. The second chapter deals with the development of legislation and development of insurance and insurance intermediation in the Czech from 1699 to the present. Current legislation, the definition and function of insurance intermediaries, together with a description of the different categories of insurance brokers, devotes the third chapter. The fourth chapter deals with the regulation and some of the requirements that the legislation on insurance intermediaries places, these requirements are subject to criticism and to study the advisability of a benefit for the entire system. The next two chapters divide different types of intermediate structures and types of intermediary companies, describe their specifics, and try to dismantle the advantages and disadvantages for various subjects. The most important part is the chapter seven which addresses some of the problems associated with the market of insurance brokers and their activities. In conclusion, summarize and conclude all the work intellectually and offer ways to address some problematic issues that this paper explores.
