Conception of the present tense in Spanish textbooks with respect to communicative methods

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of three textbooks of the Spanish language from the point of view of the way of teaching grammar on the background of communicative teaching methods. In the theoretical part, we first analyze the didactic resources used in teaching, and from these we choose the textbook itself. Then we focus on the structure of textbooks that deal with foreign language teaching and the teaching methods of foreign languages. In addition, we clarify the concept of grammar and we devote to the typology of grammar exercises. In the practical part we analyze three selected textbooks in terms of their overall structure and later we follow the way of teaching grammar, more precisely present forms of verbs, using the communicative method, which we evaluate based on the types of grammar exercises in the textbooks, the developed language skills and the distribution of students during the activities. The aim of this work is to find out the way of grammar teaching in the context of modern teaching methods, especially the communicative method, and to evaluate whether the textbooks meet their goals in relation to the teaching methods.

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci se zabýváme analýzou třech učebnic španělského jazyka z hlediska způsobu výuky gramatiky na pozadí komunikativních výukových metod. V teoretické části nejdříve rozebíráme didaktické prostředky, které se ve výuce používají, a z těch si vybíráme samotnou učebnici, kterou dále popisujeme. Poté se soustředíme na strukturu učebnic, které se zabývají výukou cizích jazyků, a výukové metody cizích jazyků. Kromě toho objasníme pojem gramatika a věnujeme se typologii gramatických cvičení. V praktické části analyzujeme tři vybrané učebnice z hlediska jejich celkové struktury a později v nich sledujeme způsob výuky gramatiky, přesněji časování sloves v přítomném čase, za použití metody komunikativního přístupu, kterou vyhodnocujeme na základě typů gramatických cvičení v učebnicích, rozvíjených jazykových dovedností a rozdělení studentů při práci. Cílem této práce je zjistit způsob výuky gramatiky v rámci moderních vyučovacích metod, především metody komunikativní, a vyhodnotit zda učebnice plní své cíle v souvislosti s výukovými metodami.
