Abstract:

Diplomová magisterská práce Výtvarné zpracování knihy Tanec smrti od Jakuba Demla) je koncipována jako praktický výtvarný výkon doprovázený teoretickou studií. Teoretická část nastiňuje vývoj výtvarného a literárního expresionismu. Dále popisuje život, tvorbu spisovatele Jakuba Demla a výtvarného umělce Josefa Váchala, kteří společně spolupracovali na Demlově první expresionistické knize s názvem Hrad smrti (1914). Praktickou částí je výtvarné zpracování druhé expresionistické Demlovy knihy s názvem Tanec smrti (1912).

Abstract:

This thesis titled The art adaptation of the book The Dance of Death written by Jakub Deml is conceived as a practical fine art act in association with theoretical study. Theoretical part of this thesis describes the development of fine art literary expresionism. This thesis also describes the life, the creation of author Jakub Deml and artist Josef Váchal, who worked together on the first Deml's expressionist book titled Castle of Death (1914). The practical part is art adaptation the author's second expressionist book Deml called The Dance of Death (1912).
