Abstract:
Diplomová práce s názvem Nové směry – Billy Higgins & Ed Blackwell pojednává o hudebním vývoji a interpretačních přístupech bubeníků Billyho Higginse a Eda Blackwella. Charakterizace herních koncepcí je zasazena do kontextu tvorby Ornetta Colemana v období 1959 – 1961. Součástí práce jsou analýzy konkrétních nahrávek a transkripce hry na bicí soupravu.
Abstract:
Diploma thesis New directions – Billy Higgins & Ed Blackwell deals with a career development and musical approach of drummers Billy Higgins and Ed Blackwell. Their music concepts are described in the context of Ornette Coleman’s work from the period 1959 – 1961. This thesis includes analysis of particular recordings and transcriptions of drummer’s interpretation.
