Evaluation of Growth and Carcass Value of the Angora goat kids

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá zhodnocením růstu a jatečné hodnoty kůzlat mohérové kozy. Pro zhodnocení růstu bylo sledováno 41 kůzlat pana Ing. Vladimíra Bařiny, Ph.D. na ekologické farmě v Křinicích. Hodnocení růstu bylo realizováno sledováním živé hmotnosti po narození, v 70 dnech, 100 dnech a 130 dnech věku. Dalším parametrem pro zhodnocení růstové schopnosti byly přírůstky kůzlat. Součástí bylo zhodnocení vlivu pohlaví, četnosti vrhu a interakce pohlaví x četnosti vrhu na živé hmotnosti a denní přírůstky kůzlat. Pohlaví nemělo průkazný vliv na sledované živé hmotnosti ani na denní přírůstky kůzlat, nicméně vyšší hmotnost i denní přírůstky byly zjištěny u kozlíků. Četnost vrhu měla průkazný vliv pouze na hmotnost při narození, nicméně u všech živých hmotností a taktéž u denních přírůstků vykazovali jedináčci vyšší hodnoty. Průkazný nebyl vliv pohlaví v kombinaci s četností vrhu, nicméně nejvyšší živé hmotnosti i denní přírůstky byly zaznamenány u jedináčků kozlíků. Jatečná hodnota byla zjišťována pomocí kontrolní porážky 11 kozlíků a součástí hodnocení bylo posouzení vlivu četnosti vrhu. Z výsledků plyne, že faktor četnosti vrhu neměl průkazný vliv na jatečnou hodnotu kůzlat, nicméně u většiny sledovaných parametrů dosahovali jedináčci vyšších hodnot.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the theme of a growth and a carcass quality of the Angora goat kids. The growth of the goat kids was examinated by monitoring 41 angora goat kids in the ecological farm in Křinice, whose owner is Ing. Vladimír Bařina, Ph.D. The evaluation of growth of the goat kids was monitored during the weights of the kids in 70 days, then in 100 days and 130 days of their age. Another parameter of the evaluation was the daily gains of kids. It included an evaluation of the effect of gender, litter frequency and sex interaction x litter frequency on live weight and daily kids gains. In this case the gender had no significant effect on the observed live weight or daily gains of kids, but a higher weight and daily gains were found in male kids. The frequency of the litter had a significant effect only on the weight at birth, however, for all live weights and also for daily gains, the singles showed higher values. The effect of sex in combination with litter frequency was not significant, however, the highest live weight and daily gains were recorded in single male goat kids.The carcass value was determined by means of control slaughter of 11 male goat kids and part of the evaluation was the assessment of the influence of the litter frequency. The results show that the litter frequency factor did not have a significant effect on the carcass value of the kids, however, for most of the monitored parameters, the single male goat kids achieved the higher values.
