The category of time and space in Zdeněk Jecelín’s dramas

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá původní dramatickou tvorbou současného českého dramatika Zdeňka Jecelína (nar. 1969), jehož dílo zatím není zpracováno v knižní monografii, jakkoli autor získal ocenění v dramatické soutěži Ceny Alfréda Radoka (1999). Cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížit tvorbu Zdeňka Jecelína, a to prostřednictvím rozboru dvou dramat: Tristan a Isolda (1998, prem. 2000) a Rodinné sídlo (1999, prem. 2002). V centru pozornosti stojí kompoziční rozbor obou her s důrazem na kategorii času a prostoru, jež jsou nahlíženy s ohledem na současné poznatky literární teorie a teorie dramatu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the original dramatic output of contemporary Czech playwright Zdeněk Jecelín (born 1969). His work is not yet compiled in any book monograph, although the author obtained acknowledgement in the dramatic contest Alfréd Radok’s Awards (1999). The goal of the bachelor thesis is to give an idea of Zdeněk Jecelín’s production with the help of analysis of his two plays Tristan and Isolda (1998, prem. 2000) and Family Residence (1999, prem. 2002). In the centre of attention there is a compositional analysis of both plays with an emphasis on category of time and space, which is viewed with respect to contemporary pieces of knowledge of literary theory and theory of drama.
