Abstract:
Evropská unie je jednou z nejvyspělejších oblastí světa. Původně se však jednalo o společenství států snažících se o zachování kontroly nad těžbou uhlí a oceli v šesti zakládajících státech. Toto společenství se postupně rozšířilo až na 28 členských států a dále je otevřeno k přijímání nových členských zemí.
