Methods of multivariate data analysis and their extensions to discrete data
Abstract:
This presented thesis describes application of principal component analysis and correspondence analysis on discrete data. Both methods are applied on categorical variables. It is focused on comparing their results and exploration of structure in data and significance of given categories. The thesis includes implementation of both methods in statistical software R.
Abstract:
V této bakalářské práci popisujeme využití metod analýzy hlavních komponent a korespondenční analýzy pro diskrétní data. Metody aplikujeme na kategoriální data a porovnáme jejich výsledky. Zaměříme sa především na rozbor struktury vzájemných vztahů a význam jednotlivých kategorii u obou proměnných. Stručně popisujeme i postup v softwaru R.
