Výzkumem a inovacemi se neustále zabývají na univerzitách, ve výzkumných ústavech a v průmyslových laboratořích. Výsledky výzkumů jsou publikovány ve vědecké literatuře, prezentovány vědecké komunitě na různých kongresech a symposiích a jsou rovněž šířeny pomocí přímých kontaktů odborníků a jejich spoluprací.
