Optimization of logistics processes in the company of engineering

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je optimalizovat logistické procesy ve vybrané strojírenské firmě. Konkrétně se jedná o společnost TEDOM a.s. v Třebíči zabývající se výrobou kogeneračních jednotek, které slouží ke kombinované výrobě elektřiny a tepla. Náplní práce je zhodnocení aktuálního stavu úrovně logistiky ve firmě, definování problémů a navržení jejich optimálního řešení. Teoreticko-metodologická část blíže popisuje nejprve teoretická východiska práce zpracovaná na základě odborné literatury. Je zde objasněna problematika zabývající se logistikou, skladováním a řízením zásob. Metodologická část přibližuje zvolené postupy a metody, aplikované v praktické části práce. V úvodu praktické části je nejprve představena zvolená firma od jejího založení až po současnost a charakteristika nabízeného sortimentu. Následuje analýza aktuálního stavu úrovně logistiky, popis jednotlivých pracovišť a skladových prostorů. Praktická část dále poukazuje na nalezené problémy týkající se skladování. Hlavní nedostatek je shledán v nedostatečných skladových prostorech a neadekvátní hladině zásob na skladě. Následuje vytvoření návrhu nového rozvržení montážních hal a nové skladové budovy, včetně výběru a umístění paletových regálů. Poté je představen nový systém řízení skladu a proveden výběr vhodného snímacího zařízení čárových kódů. V závěru práce jsou definovány a vyhodnoceny návrhy vedoucí k optimalizaci zjištěných problémů a nedostatků.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is the optimization of logistics processes in a selected engineering company. Specifically it is TEDOM a.s. in Třebíč dealing with the production of combined heat and power units which are used for combined production of electricity and heat. The content of work is to evaluate the current state of logistics in the company, defining problems and designing their optimal solution. The theoretical and methodological part describes in more detail in the first part the theoretical basis of the work, based on professional literature. The issues dealing with logistics, warehousing and inventory management are clarified here. The methodological part presents the selected procedures and methods applied in the practical part of the thesis. In the introduction to the practical part, it is necessary to introduce the selected company from its inception to the present and a description of the offered range. It consists of an analysis of the current state of the logistics level, a description of individual workplaces and warehouses. The practical part also points out the identified problems related to storage. The main problem is found in the insufficient storage space and the level of stocks in the warehouse, which is not adequate. This is followed by the creation of a design for a new layout of assembly halls and a new warehouse building, including the selection and location of pallet racks. Then a new warehouse management system is introduced and selection of a suitable barcode scanner is done. At the end of the thesis, proposals leading to the optimization of processed problems and inadequacies are defined and evaluated.
