Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na několik oddílů. V úvodu mapuje historii biblických námětů, dále se zabývá dobovými podmínkami, jaké se na přelomu 19. a 20. století nacházejí, především literárními. V další části seznamuje s nejvýznamnějšími uměleckými směry, jejich představiteli a vývojově nejdůležitějšími díly s biblickou tématikou.

Abstract:

This dissertation is divided into a number of sections. The introduction outlines the history of biblical subjects. The following section is concerned with the role played by contemporary conditions at the turn of the 20 th century, especially literary influences of the period. The remaining section provides an overview of the most important art movements and their practitioners, as well as the key biblically-themed works in their evolution.
