Use of Google Analytics for improving the performance of internet e-shop

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá webovou analytikou a jejími nástroji, které se využívají k optimalizaci webu, zejména potom webového e-shopu. Konkrétněji se jedná o optimalizaci webových stránek společnosti Knihkupectví Fryč s.r.o. Teoretická část tedy provádí čtenáře historií webové analytiky, kde je popsán technologický postup internetové analýzy. Nedílnou součástí je seznámení se s pojmy ohledně webové analytiky a dalšími nástroji, které se dále k optimalizaci webu a jeho postupným úpravám používají. Součástí analýzy webu jsou též metriky nazývající se KPI´s (neboli Key Parameter Indicators), díky kterým je možno sledovat důležité ukazatele vyjadřující konkurenceschopnost webu. Poslední část teoretické části se věnuje přímo službě Google Analytics a její implementací do webové stránky. Praktická část se již věnuje přímo konkrétním webovým stránkám, které jsou krátce představeny a dále analyzovány. Součástí diplomové práce je optimalizace webového prostředí tak, aby se zvýšila návštěvnost webu a počet prodejů. Bude se vyhodnocovat dosah marketingových kampaní, které budou cílit na specifické skupiny zákazníků. Změny budou provedeny pomocí vizuální analýzy a výsledků získaných pomocí softwaru na webovou analytiku - Google Analytics.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on web analytics and tools that are being used to optimize the web, especially a web e-shop. Specifically, it is about optimizing the website of the Knihkupectví Fryč s.r.o. The theoretical part informs the reader about the history of web analysis, where the technological procedure of internet analysis is described. An integral part is to become familiar with concepts related to analytical analysis and its tools, which are further used for optimization and progressive adjustments of the web page. One of the components of the web analysis are metrics called KPIs (Key Parameter Indicators), so it is possible to identify site competitiveness indicators. The last part of the theoretical part deals directly with Google Analytics public services and its implementation into web pages. The practical part deals with specific websites, which are briefly introduced and further analyzed. The goal of this master's thesis is to optimize the web environment and increase the number of site visitors and the number of sales. The range of the marketing campaigns will be evaluated. Changes will be performed by visual analysis and results obtained using web analytics software - Google Analytics.
