Medical rehabilitation plan and process in treatment of a patient with ataxia teleangiectasia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vzácným dědičným onemocněním ataxia teleangiectasia a možnostmi ovlivnění symptomů tohoto nemocnění prostřednictvím rehabilitace. Skládá se ze tří částí. V první části je onemocnění popsáno ze stránky obecné. Popisuje incidenci, etiologie, genetiku, patofyziologii, příznaky, diagnostiku, farmakologickou léčbu a prognózu onemocnění. Druhá část je věnována léčbě onemocnění z pohledu rehabilitace. Popisuje metodiky a přístupy, které je možné při rehabilitaci využít. Zahrnuje přístupy jak z oblasti léčebné tělesné výchovy, tak i z fyzikální terapie, ergoterapie či sociální rehabilitace. Poslední částí je kazuistika, kde je popsáno vyšetření konkrétního pacienta autorem a jeho zapojení do procesu léčebné rehabilitace.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis concerns about a rare hereditary disease ataxia teleangiectasia and the possibilities of influencing its symptoms using medical rehabilitation. It consists of three parts. The first part deals with general information. It describes incidence, etiology, genetics, pathophysiology, symptoms, diagnosis, pharmacological treatment and disease prediction. The second part concerns about a treatment of the disease from the perspective of rehabilitation. It describes the methods and approaches that can be used in rehabilitation. It includes approaches from the area of therapeutic physical education as well as physical therapy, ergotherapy or social rehabilitation. The last part, the case report, includes the description of the examination and the involvement of the author in the process of therapeutic rehabilitation of the specific patient.
