Determination of methylmercury in the Antarctic ecosystem using GC-AFS
Abstract:
In this thesis, the amount of methylmercury(MeHg+) in cyanobacterial mats and algae from James Ross Island was determined. The analytical procedure for the determinationof very low MeHg+ amounts was developed and optimized. Gas chromatography with atomic florescence spectrometry (GC-AFS) was used for the analysis. Tato diplomová práce se věnuje stanovení methylrtuti (MeHg+) v cyanobakteriálních povlacích a řasách z jezer ostrova Jamese Rosse. Byla vyvinuta a optimalizována metoda pro stanovení stopových koncentrací MeHg+ pomocí plynové chromatografie ve spojení s atomovou fluorescenční spektrometrií (GC AFS).
