The combination of the Market Profile concept and Order Flow analysis for futures intraday trading support

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce v českém jazyce teoreticky shrnuje základní předpoklady tří méně známých teorií využívaných pro určování pravděpodobností cenových změn na trzích futures a na jejich základě navrhuje komplexní rámec pro intradenní obchodování s minimálním rizikem. Tyto teorie se pohybují na pomezí technické a psychologické analýzy. Jedná se o koncept Market Profile, analýzu Order Flow a jako doplněk těchto konceptů je zahrnuta Teorie tržní aukce. Práce ukazuje, že vzájemnou interakcí těchto principů lze vytvořit komplexní systém pro poloautomatickou diskreční analýzu trhu a podpůrný mechanismus pro intradenní obchodování trhů futures s minimálním rizikem. Výsledkem práce není obchodní systém, ale soubor principů, na kterých lze stavět obchodní systémy s různými parametry dle rizikové averze a časové náročnosti obchodníka. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. První dvě části slouží jako přehled teoretických předpokladů. Třetí část aplikuje tyto předpoklady na tvorbě rámce pro analýzu a obchodování trhů futures a čtvrtá část tento rámec testuje na historických datech.

Abstract:

This thesis in Czech theoretically summarizes the basic assumptions of the three lesser-known theories used to determine the probability of price changes of the futures markets and on this basis proposes a comprehensive framework for intraday trading with minimum risk. These theories are based on the principles of technical and psychological analysis. It is the Market Profile concept and Order Flow analysis, while as a supplement to both concepts the Auction Market Theory is included. This work shows that the interaction of these principles can be used to create a complex system for semiautomatic discretionary market analysis and a framework for intraday futures trading with minimal risk. The output of this paper is not a trading system. It is a set of principles on which trading systems with a variation of parameters can be built, such as trader's risk aversion and timeframe. The paper is divided into four chapters. The first two chapters are an overview of the theoretical assumptions. In the third part the assumptions are applied creating framework for the futures markets analysis and trading. In the fourth part this framework is tested on historical data.
