Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá mediálním obrazem maďarského povstání z podzimu roku 1956 v deníku Rudé právo. Základem pro analýzu jsou publicistické texty zabývající se daným tématem, a to v období od 23. října 1956 do konce téhož roku. Kromě toho byly do rozboru zahrnuty i vybrané texty z výročních let 1957, 1958, 1961, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1976, 1981 a 1986. Jako cíl této práce jsme si definovali odkrýt, deskribovat a detailně analyzovat nástroje, prostředky a způsoby utváření tohoto mediálního obrazu, přičemž výzkum dospěje k odhalení základních diskurzivních modelů, jež jsou v souvislosti s maďarským povstáním, jeho vypuknutím, průběhem, potlačením a účastníky konstruovány. K naplnění stanoveného cíle jsme zvolili metodu kritické diskurzivní analýzy, která dovoluje zmapování mediálního obrazu maďarského povstání ve vybraném časovém horizontu. Práci parcelujeme na část teoretickou, v níž je pracováno zejména se sociálně-konstruktivistickým konceptem autorů Bergera a Luckmanna, s teorií sedmi diskurzivních oblastí Jamese Paula Geeho a s ideologickými mody operandi popsaných Johnem B. Thompsonem, a na část praktickou.

Abstract:

The submitted thesis deals with the media representation of Hungarian uprising from autumn 1956 in daily Rudé právo. The basis of the work is formed by the journalistic texts concentrated on chosen topic (from the 23rd of October 1956 till the end of the same year). With the exception of this sample we include in our analyse texts from anniversary years 1957, 1958, 1961, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1976, 1981 a 1986. Our aim is to reveal, describe and in depth analyse tools, means and ways of construction of this media representation and reveal the fundamental discourse models which analysed media communicate in context of Hungarian uprising, its outbreak, course, defeat and participants. To fulfill our purpose we use the method of discourse analysis which enables us to reconstruct media representation of Hungarian uprising in the set time section. We divided our thesis into theoretical part, in which there is worked with Berger-Luckmann’s social-constructionist theory, with James Paul Gee’s seven discourse areas and with modes of operation of ideology defined by John B. Thompson. Second part of our thesis is analytic part.
