Research on the relationship of preschool children to sports

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zlepšení vztahu dětí v předškolním věku k pohybovým aktivitám. Cílem bakalářské práce je porovnat dvě vybrané oblastí. První z nich je oblast mého bydliště (Podkrkonoší), druhou z nich je město Brno, kde momentálně studuji. Součástí bakalářské práce je výzkum, který má za úkol poukázat na rozdílnost těchto dvou oblastí. Metodou výzkumu je anketa vlastní tvorby. V teoretické části této práce charakterizuji vývoj dětí v předškolním věku. Objasním charakteristiku mateřských škol a rámcového vzdělávacího programu pro předškolní děti dle definice ze zákona. Upřesním postoj rodičů (Teorie generačního procesu). V metodickém materiálu uvedu možnosti pohybových aktivit v denním režimu mateřských škol. K výběru tohoto vlastního tématu mě vedla snaha zhodnotit způsob, jakým v dnešní době přistupují mateřské školy, rodiče i samotné děti k pohybovým aktivitám a sportu jako takovému. Jedním z účelů bakalářské práce je vytvořit metodický materiál, který může posloužit jako východisko pro další šetření tohoto typu či jako inspirace pro pedagogy vybraných mateřských škol. Výsledky výzkumu v obou lokalitách nejsou až tak rozdílné. Mateřské školy nabízí dětem podobné zájmové aktivity, včetně těch pohybových. Naprostá většina dětí se pohybovým aktivitám věnuje i mimo návštěvu mateřské školy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on improving the relationship of pre-school children to physical activities. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare two selected areas. The first is the area of my home (Podkrkonoší), the second one is the city of Brno where I am currently studying. Part of the bachelor thesis is research, which aims to point out the differences between these two areas. In the theoretical part of this thesis I characterize the development of pre-school children. I clarify the characteristics of nursery schools and the framework educational program for preschool children as defined by law. I will try to clarify the attitude of parents (Theory of the Generation Process). In the methodical material I will show the possibilities of physical activities in the daily regime of these kindergartens. I will try to design a solution how to engage movement activities in day plans of kindergartens and include suggestions for activities through which parents themselves can develop physical activity in their children. The aim of my own topic was to evaluate the way in which kindergartens, parents and children are nowadays accessing physical activity and sport as such. One of the aims of the bachelor thesis is to create a methodical material that can serve as a basis for further research of this kind or as an inspiration for teachers of selected kindergartens. The results of the research in both localities are not so different. Kindergartens offer children similar leisure activities, including motion exercises. An overwhelming majority of children are engaged in physical activities even outside the kindergarten.
