Asylum House and its Assistance to Clients in an Unfavorable Life Situation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá životními situacemi, které přivedly klientky do Domu pro ženy a matky s dětmi ADELANTE v Ostravě a zjišťuje, jak zařízení klientkám pomáhá v jejich nepříznivé životní situaci spojené s absencí bydlení. V teoretické části práce jsou nejprve uvedeny informace o organizaci Armádě spásy, která zmiňovaný azylový dům zřizuje. Tato část práce je zaměřena na historii, vznik a působení organizace také v rámci České republiky. V další kapitole se práce věnuje azylovým domům, které přibližuje jako sociální službu pro lidi bez domova, zabývá se jejich činností a charakterizuje azylové domy pro matky s dětmi. V poslední kapitole teoretické části se práce věnuje problematice klientů. Rozvádí problematiku bezdomovectví žen a přibližuje možné příčiny ztráty bydlení. V praktické části práce jsou kvalitativním výzkumem zjišťovány příčiny pobytu v zařízení a pomoc azylového domu v životě matek.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the life situations that brought the clients to the ADELANTE - Home for Women and Mothers with Children in Ostrava and finds out how the facility helps the clients in their unfavorable life situation associated with the absence of housing. In the theoretical part of the thesis, information is first presented about the Salvation Army organization, which is establishing the aforementioned asylum. This part of the work is focused on the history, establishment and operation of the organization also within the Czech Republic. In the next chapter, the work is devoted to asylums, which it approaches as a social service for homeless people, deals with their activities and characterizes shelters for mothers with children. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the issue of clients. It elaborates on the issue of women's homelessness and explains the possible causes of housing loss. In the practical part of the work, the causes of the stay in the facility and the help of the asylum in the lives of mothers are determined through qualitative research.
