Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Their Influence on the Class Team from the View of the Teacher

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na žáky s diagnostikovaným ADHD a jejich možným vlivem na třídní kolektiv pohledem učitele. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části se zabýváme popisem problematiky poruchy ADHD (etiologie, diagnostická kritéria, charakteristika projevů, komorbidity), výchovy a vzdělávání dětí s touto diagnózou a také možnými podpůrnými opatřeními. Rovněž se v teorii věnujeme tématu třídního kolektivu, klimatu třídy a faktorům, které je mohou ovlivňovat. Empirickou část tvoří dotazníková studie, které se zúčastnilo 124 respondentů. Pomocí dotazníku jsme zjišťovali: jaké projevy žáka s ADHD sleduje učitel ve třídě, jakým způsobem se pracuje na kompenzaci obtíží žáka spojených s ADHD, jaké je zapojení žáka s ADHD do třídního kolektivu, zda má přítomnost žáka s ADHD podle učitele vliv na třídní kolektiv a chod třídy, jaký vliv má podle učitele dítě s ADHD na fungování třídního kolektivu a chod třídy a ve finále jakým způsobem učitel pracuje na zlepšení fungování třídního kolektivu, jehož součástí je žák s ADHD. Výsledkem našeho výzkumu je zjištění, že žák s ADHD má negativní vliv na fungování třídního kolektivu. Tento negativní vliv má na kolektiv hlavně při běžné školní výuce. Na školních a mimoškolních akcích už toto působení nebylo tak významně pozorováno. Výstupem naší studie jsou rovněž praktická doporučení pro pedagogy.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on pupils diagnosed with ADHD and their possible impact on the classroom collective from the teacher's perspective. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, we describe the problems of ADHD (etiology, diagnostic criteria, characteristics of manifestations, comorbidities), education and training of children with this diagnosis, as well as possible support measures. We also discuss the theory of the classroom collective, the classroom climate and the factors that may influence it. The empirical part consists of a questionnaire study in which 124 respondents participated. Using the questionnaire, we investigated: what manifestations of a pupil with ADHD the teacher observes in the classroom, how the teacher works to compensate for the pupil's difficulties related to ADHD, what is the involvement of the pupil with ADHD in the classroom collective, whether the presence of a pupil with ADHD according to the teacher has an impact on the classroom collective and the running of the classroom, what impact the teacher thinks the child with ADHD has on the functioning of the classroom collective and the running of the classroom, and finally how the teacher works to improve the functioning of the classroom collective of which the pupil with ADHD is a part. As a result of our research, we found that the pupil with ADHD has a negative impact on the functioning of the classroom collective. This negative impact on the classroom collective is mainly during regular school hours. At school and after-school events, this effect was not as significantly observed. Our study also resulted in practical recommendations for educators.
