Alternative Forms of Co-Existence through Eyes of Current Seniors

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá pohledem současných seniorů na vybrané alternativní formy soužití jedinců - především na kohabitaci, osamělého rodiče a registrované partnerství. Práce se snaží teoreticky popsat a definovat rodinu, manželství a v současnosti nejužívanější alternativní formy soužití jedinců jako jsou kohabitace, osamělý rodič, singles a registrované partnerství. Hlavní důraz je kladen na definice pojmu senior a definice alternativních fo-rem soužití jedinců dle současných odborných zdrojů. Výzkumná část práce zkoumá pomocí dotazníku pohled současných seniorů, žijících v Domovech pro seniory ve středočeském kraji a v Praze, na vybrané alternativní formy soužití jedinců ? na kohabitaci, osamělého rodiče a registrované partnerství. Mimo jiné se výzkum zabývá i otázkou pohledu současných seniorů na budoucnost klasického manželství.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the opinions of current seniors concerning selected alternative forms of co-existence of individuals ? including but not limited to co-habitation, single parent and registered unmarried partnership. The thesis attempts at a theoretical description and definition of the family, the marriage and the most frequent current forms of alternative co-existence of individuals such as co-habitation, single parents, singles and registered unmarried partners. The main emphasis is laid on the definitions of the notions of "senior" and "alternative forms of co-existence of individuals" on the basis of current professional resources. The research part of the thesis investigates views of current seniors living in Senior Homes in Central Bohemia and in Prague concerning selected alternative forms of co-existence of individuals, such as co-habitation, single parent and registered unmarried partnership, through a questionnaire. In addition the research also tackles the issue of the view of current seniors concerning the future of traditional marriage.
