Accounting and analysis of resources of financing of selected foundations

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na nadace, které jsou právní formou nestátních neziskových organizací. Práce se zabývá vymezením neziskových organizací s následným zaměřením na nadace, specifiky účetnictví nadací a jejich zdroji financování. V praktické části je představeno 6 nadací působících v České republice a jsou analyzovány jejich účetní výkazy v oblasti zdrojů financování. V práci jsou porovnávány struktury zdrojů financování vybraných nadací a jejich změny v letech 2018–2020. Následně jsou vyzdviženy rozdíly mezi zdroji financování firemních a nefiremních nadací zjištěné při zpracování analýzy a okomentovány ostatní výsledky. Struktury hodnotových přínosů jsou z největší části tvořeny peněžními prostředky získanými prostřednictvím individuálních darů či veřejných sbírek. Přijaté prostředky u nefiremních nadací jsou více diverzifikované než u firemních, které se naopak spoléhají především na příjmy od zřizujících společností.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on foundations, which are the legal form of non-governmental non-profit organizations. The thesis deals with the definition of non-profit organizations with a subsequent focus on foundations, the specifics of accounting and their resources of financing. The practical part presents 6 foundations operating in the Czech Republic and analyses their financial statements in the field of funding resources. The thesis compares the structures of resources of financing of selected foundations and their changes from 2018 to 2020. Subsequently, the differences between the resources of financing of corporate and non-corporate foundations are identified during the analysis and other results are commented. Value-added structures are mostly made up of funds obtained through individual donations or public collections. The funds received to non-corporate foundations are more diversified than to corporate ones, which on the other hand rely primarily on income from founding companies.
