Documentary film Lunge to Rio

Abstract:

Jedná se o produktovou práci, jejímž cílem je vytvořit dokumentární film, konkrétně audiovizuální portrét českého fleretisty Alexandera Choupenitche. Díky jeho výsledkům se český šerm probojoval po dvaceti letech na letní olympijské hry. Prostřednictvím úspěšné cesty dvaadvacetiletého sportovce portrét přibližuje neznámé prostředí sportovního šermu. Příběh novodobého průkopníka tohoto tradičního olympijského sportu ukazuje osobnostní rozvoj a motivuje mladé Čechy k odhodlanosti vytrvat u tvrdé práce a tréninku. Praktický výstup bakalářské práce je vymezený teoretickou částí. Ta stanoví základní definice nutné k vymezení audiovizuálního portrétu, dále přiblíží a odůvodní podmínky přípravy, realizace a reflexe televizního díla. Samostatná kapitola je věnovaná i cílovému médiu ČT sport a jeho publiku. Metodologie praktické části primárně vychází z teorie modů a modelů Billa Nicholse.

Abstract:

The aim of this practical bachelor thesis is to create a documentary film, in concrete audiovisual portrait of Czech foil fencer Alexander Choupenitch. Czech fencing thanks to his results fought its way after twenty years to summer Olympics. The portrait draws nearer unknown environment of sports fencing through a successful route of twenty-two years old athlete. The story of modern pioneer of this traditional Olympic sport shows possible development path and it motivates young Czech people to resolution and perseverance in hard work and train-ing. Practical output of this thesis is specified in its theoretical part. This part sets down basic definitions necessary for specification of audiovisual portrait. It also rationalizes conditions of preparation, realization and reflection of the television work. One chapter is dedicated to the target medium ČT sport and its target audience. Methodology of the practical part comes pri-marily out from the theory of modes and models of Bill Nichols.
