Study Comparison of Tax Systems of the Czech Republic and Ireland

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce Srovnávací studie daňových soustav České republiky a Irska je na základě studia daňového systému Irska analyzovat mechanismus jeho fungování, uplatňované daňové instrumenty a ze zjištěných poznatků a z komparace daňových systémů sledovaných zemí formulovat doporučení pro daňový systém České republiky. První část práce se zaměřuje na problematiku daňové konkurence, harmonizace a koordinace v kontextu zemí Evropské unie. Druhá část je věnována bilaterální dohodě o zamezení dvojího zdanění mezi Českou republikou a Irskem. Třetí část je zaměřena na srovnání daňových soustav obou zemí z makroekonomického pohledu. Obsahem čtvrté a páté části je detailní analýza českého a irského daňového systému. Poslední, šestá část obsahuje komparaci obou soustav na mikroúrovni včetně jednotlivých návrhů doporučení, která jsou dle autora vhodná pro implementaci do české daňové soustavy.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis titled Study Comparison of Tax systems of the Czech Republic and Ireland is to analyze the functional mechanism and applied tax instruments of the Irish tax system on the basis of its study. Results of this analysis and the comparison of tax systems in both countries are used to propose improvements for the tax system in Czech Republic. The first part focuses on tax competition, harmonization and coordination in the context of the European Union. The second part is dedicated to the bilateral agreement to prevent double taxation between Czech Republic and Ireland. The third part is focused on the comparison of tax systems in both countries from a macroeconomic perspective. Detailed analyses of Czech and Irish tax systems are the contents of the fourth and fifth parts. The last, sixth part contains a comparison of both systems on the micro level with individual propositions, which are considered suitable for implementation in the Czech tax system according to the author.
