Automated external defibrilator and its usage by laymen

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tematikou využití AED laickou veřejností. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jaké informace má veřejnost o Automatizovaném externím defibrilátoru-zda ví, jaká je jeho funkce, na jakých veřejných místech je k dispozici, jak jsou tato místa označena a zda by byli ochotni ho v případě potřeby použít. Dále byly mapovány znalosti první pomoci při KPR. Dílčími cíli bylo porovnání znalostí mezi muži a ženami a dále mezi jednotlivými věkovými kategoriemi. Ke splnění daných cílů bylo využito průzkumného dotazníkového šetření prostřednictvím online webu Survio, kde byla zcela anonymně získána data od respondentů z vybraných věkových kategorií. Výzkumná část představuje porovnání údajů získaných z dotazníku a výsledkem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení splnění stanovených cílů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the subject matter of the usage of an AED defibrilator by the non-specialized public. The aim of this work was to find out what information the general public has about the automatized external defibrilator - whether it knows its function, its availability in public spaces, how the places are marked and whether they would be willing to use one during an emergency. Furthermore, the thesis surveyed the knowledge of first aid during CPR. The sub-objectives were to compare the knowledge of AED between men and women, as well as between individual age groups. To fulfill these objectives, the online website Survio was used to create a survey questionnaire where responses were anonymously gathered from respondents of target categories. The research part then presents a comparison of data acquired from the questionnaires, with the conclusion assessing the fulfillment of stated objectives.
