Non-financial reporting in the energy industry

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na problematiku nefinančního výkaznictví v kontextu energetického průmyslu. Jejím hlavním cílem je identifikovat důsledky nefinančního výkaznictví vybraných energetických podniků a analyzovat, jaké výzvy a přínosy tato problematika přináší. První část práce se věnuje teoretickému vymezení a klasifikaci nefinančního výkaznictví, zkoumá jeho vliv na podniky a představuje legislativní rámec, který ovlivňuje tuto oblast. Důležitou součástí této části je také podrobná analýza Společenské odpovědnosti firem (CSR), která slouží jako základ pro specifikaci nefinančního výkaznictví. Stěžejní částí práce je provedení konkrétní analýzy vybraných energetických podniků a hodnocení efektivity jejich nefinančního výkaznictví. Tato analýza se zabývá identifikací důsledků a dopadů nefinančního výkaznictví na společnost a současně navrhuje možná zlepšení a doporučení pro energetické podniky v oblasti nefinančního vykazování. Práce nabízí konkrétní analýzu s praktickými dopady a návrhy pro zlepšení nefinančního výkaznictví v energetickém sektoru.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the issue of non-financial reporting in the energy industry. Its main goal is to identify the consequences of non-financial reporting of selected energy companies and to analyze the challenges and benefits this issue brings. The first part of the work is devoted to the theoretical definition and classification of non-financial reporting, examines its influence on companies and presents the legislative framework that this area. An important part of this part is also a detailed analysis of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which serves as the basis for the specification of non-financial reporting. The core part of the work is a specific analysis of selected energy companies and an evaluation of the effectiveness of their non-financial reporting. This analysis deals with the identification of the consequences and impacts of non-financial reporting on society and at the same time suggests possible improvements and recommendations for energy companies in the area of non-financial reporting. The thesis offers a concrete analysis with practical implications and suggestions for improving non-financial reporting in the energy sector.
