This bachelor thesis analyzes the depiction of characters in Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women (1868) in comparison to the latest cinematic adaptation released in 2019, directed by Greta Gerwig. The thesis examines the changes through an in-depth analysis of the main characters in both works.
