Tourism as a potential for the development of the peripheral territories

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá zhodnocením potenciálu rozvoje cestovního ruchu ve vybraném periferním regionu v Olomouckém kraji v oblasti na Jesenicku a v Nyském regionu v zahraničním Polsku. Zhodnocení bude za účelem navržení vhodných opatření pro další rozvoj vzhledem k potenciálu cestovního ruchu v území. Pro účely analýzy byl zvolen region Jesenicko a region Nysko jako spolu sousedící regiony. V teoretické části práce jsou především vymezeny teoretické přístupy k problematice periferních oblastí, faktorů a vlivů rozvoje cestovního ruchu. Praktická část práce analyzuje potenciál rozvoje zkoumaných oblastí a na základě sesbíraných dat a výsledků jsou formulovány konkrétní návrhy a doporučení pro rozvoj obou zkoumaných periferních oblastí, to vše na základě provedeného terénního šetření, analýzy strategických dokumentů, rozvojových dokumentů cestovního ruchu a rozhovorů s aktéry cestovního ruchu ve zkoumaných územích.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of potential of tourism development in a selected peripheral region in the Olomouc region in the area of Jeseník and in Nysko region in foreign Poland. Evaluation will be propose in order to suitable measures for other development in view of the potential of tourism in the territory. The region of Jesenicko and the region of Nysko were chosen for the purpose of the analysis as neighboring regions. In the theoretical part there are mainly defined theoretical approaches to the issue of peripheral areas, factors and influences of tourism development. The practical part analyzes the potential of development of the examined areas and on the basis of these collected data and results there are formulated concrete suggestions and recommendations for the development of both examined peripheral areas, all based on the field survey, analysis of strategic documents, of development documents of tourism and interviews with actors of tourism in the investigated areas.
