Not Fully Conscious Components Entering Psychotherapeutic or Counselling Practice

Abstract:

Autor diplomové práce se zaměřil na studium neuvědomovaných komponent (NK), které mohou ovlivňovat poradenskou či psychoterapeutickou praxi. V teoretické části podává přehled obsažení konceptu NK v historii rozličných psychoterapeutických směrů, vyzdvihuje význam terapeutického zaměření na neuvědomované komponenty a spojuje roli hodnot v psychoterapii s konceptem NK. Zamýšlí se nad uplatněním neuvědomovaných komponent ve výcviku terapeutů či poradců a rozebírá, jakým způsobem jsou NK spojeny s celoživotním vývojem člověka-psychoterapeuta. Teoretickou část práce zaštiťuje poznatky praxe založené na spolehlivých důkazech. Podstatné je představení modelu výcviku zaměřeného na osobu terapeuta (POTT). Aplikací metody zakotvené teorie na souboru seminárních prací, v nichž se studenti psychologie a psychoterapie zamýšleli nad neuvědomovanými komponentami, které jednou mohou vnášet do své práce, vznikl v rámci empirické části práce kontextuální dynamický model (KDM). Spojením KDM a modelu POTT dospěl autor k hybridnímu modelu výcviku zaměřeného na osobu terapeuta, v němž je možno využívat nově vytvořených znalostí smýšlení studentů o NK. Zmíněné přístupy autor vtělil do metodického materiálu (sylabu kurzu), jenž může sloužit jako pomůcka při zavádění zmiňovaných modelů do výuky na českých vysokých školách.

Abstract:

The author of the present thesis concentrated upon a study of nonconscious components (NC), which may influence counselling or psychotherapeutic practice. A theoretical part contains an overview of NC's involvement in a history of different psychotherapeutic approaches, the author points out an importance of a therapeutic focus on nonconscious components and connects a role of values in psychotherapy to the concept of NC. Furthermore, the author elaborates on a role of nonconscious components in the context of training of therapists or counsellors, and then he explains possible connections between a lifespan development of a human-therapist and NC. Theoretical part of the thesis is interwoven by knowledge base of evidence based practice. Important is also an introduction of a person-of-the-therapist training (POTT). Using a qualitative research method – grounded theory – on a set of essays, in which students of psychology and psychotherapy describe nonconscious components that may be entering their practice in the future, in the empirical part of the thesis the author created a complex dynamic model (CDM). Linking the CDM and the POTT model enabled the author to create a hybrid model of the person-of-the-therapist training, in which there can be used newly created knowledge of student's grasp of NC. Mentioned principles were used in development of a methodic material, which can serve as a tool of POTT and CDM models implementation in Czech universities context.
