Vliv politiky na podnikatelské charakteristiky a na výkonnost malých a středních podniků v centrální obci Ashanti Akim.

Abstract:

Abstrakt Bylo prokázáno, že podnikatelské charakteristiky mají vliv na výkonnost a růst podniku. Účelem této projektové práce proto bylo stanovit vliv politiky na podnikatelské charakteristiky a na výkonnost malých a středních podniků v centrální obci Ashanti Akim, aby bylo možné poskytnout ucelený popis příspěvků týkajících se podnikatelských charakteristik, vypracovat program pro budoucí výzkum a praxi ve vztahu k podnikatelským charakteristikám. V zájmu výzkumu bylo měření vlastností podnikatelů, které se projevují kreativitou, inovativností, podstupováním rizika, konkurenční agresivitou a finanční disciplínou, a na to, jak tyto vlastnosti přispívají k výkonnosti malých a středních podniků. Výzkum se zaměřil na vzorek 100 podnikatelů v metropoli Cape Coast, kteří byli vybráni metodou stratifikovaného náhodného výběru. Výsledky studie ukázaly, že kreativita, inovativnost, ochota riskovat, konkurenční agresivita a finanční disciplína pozitivně a statisticky významně ovlivňují výkonnost malých a středních podniků. Studie se rovněž zabývala současným stavem rozvoje malých a středních podniků a podnikatelských aktivit ve studované oblasti, stávajícími politikami na podporu rozvoje podnikatelů a malých a středních podniků ve studované oblasti a rolí, kterou hraje stranická politika v podnikatelských aktivitách ve studované oblasti. Klíčovým prvkem studie bylo, že vycházela z výsledků podnikání, a nikoliv ze souboru charakterových vlastností jednotlivých podnikatelů. Do budoucích studií bylo proto doporučeno zahrnout individuální charakter k výkonnosti podnikání.

Abstract. Entrepreneurial characteristics have been illustrated to have an impact on business performance and growth. The purpose of this project work was therefore to establish the Effect of Politics on Entrepreneurial Characteristics and on the performance of SMEs in the Ashanti Akim Central Municipality, so as to provide an integrated account of contributions relating to entrepreneurial characteristics, develop an agenda for the future research, and practice in relation to entrepreneurial characteristics. The focus of the research was to measure the entrepreneurs’ characteristics exhibited through, creativity, innovativeness, risk taking, competitive aggressiveness and financial discipline and how these attributes contribute to the performance of small and medium enterprises. The research focused on a sample population of 100 entrepreneurs in the Cape Coast Metropolis who were selected through stratified random sampling method. The study findings revealed that creativity, innovativeness, risk-taking, competitive aggressiveness and financial discipline, are positively and statistically significant to performance in small and medium enterprises. The Study also looked at the current status of SME development and entrepreneurial activities in the study area, the existing policies to aid the development of entrepreneurs and SMEs in the study area and the role partisan politics play in the entrepreneur activities in the study area. A key element of the study was that it was based on business performance and not on the individual entrepreneur’s character set. Future studies were therefore recommended to incorporate individual character into business performance.
