Abstract:

Všichni manažeři musí čelit novým výzvám a přizpůsobit se novému pracovnímu prostředí s menším počtem sociálních interakcí uprostřed bezprecedentní krize COVID-19. V tomto výzkumu je prezentováno pozadí, problémy, s nimiž se setkali, a opatření přijatá projektovými manažery. Tato empirická studie je provedena jako případová studie v nadnárodní poradenské a BPO firmě, která poskytuje účetní a daňové poradenství středním a velkým podnikům. Tato práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část je věnována teoretickému rámci, který byl vyvinut pro vysvětlení projektového řízení a výzev projektového řízení během krize. Představuje také různé metodiky projektového řízení nasazené během krize nebo bezprecedentní události, konkrétně metodiky řízení rizik a kontinuitu podnikání. Druhá kapitola je věnována praktické části. Obsahuje přehled metodologií používaných ke sběru a analýze kvalitativních dat pro účely výzkumu a prezentaci případové společnosti. Podstatná část kapitoly je věnována prezentaci a zkoumání zjištění. Řešily se výzvy projektového managementu v rámci případové společnosti a metody a procesy projektového managementu implementované projektovými manažery ke zmírnění těchto výzev a zajištění kontinuity jejich aktivit.

Abstract:

All managers must confront new challenges and adapt to a new work environment with fewer social interactions amid the COVID-19 unprecedented crisis. The backdrop, the challenges encountered, and the measures taken by project managers are presented in this research. This empirical study is conducted as a case study in a multinational consulting and BPO firm that provides accounting and tax advice to mid-sized and large businesses. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is dedicated to the theoretical framework that was developed to explain project management and the challenges of project management during a crisis. It also presents the different project management methodologies deployed during a crisis or an unprecedented event, namely the risk management methodologies and the business continuity. The second chapter is dedicated to the practical part. It includes an overview of the methodologies used to collect and analyze qualitative data for the purpose of the research and a presentation of the case company. A substantial portion of the chapter is dedicated to presenting and exploring the findings. There were addressed the project management challenges within the case company and the project management methods and processes implemented by project managers to mitigate these challenges and ensure the continuity of their activities.
