Information Literacy of Students on Librarian Secondary Schools with the Focus on Creating and Sharing of Information

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá informační gramotnosti studentů středních knihovnických škol. Teoretická část vymezuje informační gramotnost, popisuje koncept mediální a informační gramotnosti a na základě standardu mediální a informační gramotnosti vymezuje oblast tvorby a sdílení informací. Poté popisuje informační vzdělávání na středních školách a z hlediska informační gramotnosti charakterizuje studenty středních knihovnických škol. Empirická část prezentuje výzkum, který pomocí dotazníků zjišťoval úroveň informační gramotnosti studentů středních knihovnických škol. Cílem výzkumu byla identifikace oblastí informační gramotnosti, ve kterých tito studenti nemají dostatečné kompetence a navrhnutí řešení tohoto problému.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with information literacy of students on librarian secondary schools. The theoretical part defines information literacy, describes the concept of media and information literacy and on the basis of the Media and Information Literacy Standard defines the area of creating and sharing of information. After that it describes information education at secondary schools and, from the point of view of information literacy, it characterizes the students of the librarian secondary schools. The empirical part presents a research which through the questionnaires surveyed the level of information literacy of students of librarian secondary schools. The aim of the research was to identify areas of information literacy in which these students do not have sufficient competencies and propose a solution to this problem.
